ASTM International has published a new Standard for the application of Process Compensated Resonance Testing (PCRT): Standard Practice E3081-16 for Outlier Screening Using PCRT via Swept Sine Wave Input for Metallic and Non-Metallic Parts. The standard describes the process for applying PCRT in an Outlier Screening mode to detect parts that show a significant resonance frequency difference from normal production or in-service parts. Vibrant Corporation includes PCRT Outlier Screening among its testing services offered to manufacturers and maintainers of critical components for aerospace and power generation systems.
The new Standard can be purchased from ASTM International at: https://www.astm.org/Standards/E3081.htm
