Vibrant’s engineering manager, Eric Biedermann, presented the latest developments in validation of PCRT modeling at this year’s Propulsion Safety and Sustainment Conference (PS&S) in Jacksonville, FL. PS&S seeks to transition existing and emerging technologies to solve issues with turbine engine safety, readiness, reliability, and sustainment. The conference, hosted by Universal Technology Corporation, features presentations from many leading engine manufacturers and maintainers.

Mr. Biedermann’s presentation highlighted recent studies and results that validate PCRT modeling tools developed in an ongoing project with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). These tools will enhance PCRT capabilities for nondestructive evaluation and material characterization. The project is funded by two AFRL contracts and is being performed in conjunction with Computational Tools the University of California Santa Barbara.
