Vibrant Corporation has completed a research project in partnership with the New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program and the Geomechanics Research Department at Sandia National Laboratories. The project studied the effect of mechanical fatigue on the resonant frequencies of high-performance aerospace fasteners. The acquired knowledge will improve Vibrant’s capabilities for life monitoring and fatigue inspection using Process Compensated Resonance Testing (PCRT).

Eric Biedermann, Vibrant’s Principal Investigator for the project, said, “We are grateful to the NMSBA for making the scientists and resources of Sandia National Labs available to us. We learned a lot from our work with the Geomechanics Department, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with them again.”
