Lem Hunter, CEO of Vibrant Corporation announced today the closing of a $1,000,000 Angel funded seed investment. This is Hunter’s second start up company. He sold his first company, Mechtronic Solutions Inc. in March of 2007.

J.T. Michelson, one of the investors, and the former Executive Vice President of aircraft component manufacturer Sun Country Industries, Inc., comments, “Vibrant is going to be a game changer for the aerospace industry. I have been in engine component manufacturing for almost 20 years, and this is the first nondestructive testing technology that will provide the critically needed permanent digital record of the structural integrity of manufactured aerospace components.“

David Durgin, an active Angel Investor and Venture Capitalist, also participated in the round. “This is the third company to leverage this technology in which I have personally invested. The other two have been winners and I am certain that under Hunter’s leadership Vibrant will follow suit,” stated Durgin.

Vibrant Corporation is introducing a new nondestructive testing technology called Process Compensated Resonance Testing (PCRT), to the Aerospace industry. Quasar International, which was recently acquired by Illinois Tool Works, developed the PCRT technology. Quasar successfully uses this technology in the automotive industry while Exagen Corporation uses it in the biotech industry. The PCRT technology evaluates the structural integrity of the part inspected. It finds defects in new parts and provides a permanent record of the integrity of the part over time.
